I swam the whole length of windermere on Sunday 10.5 miles in 5H 50min. Great to have done it and felt pretty good at the end

That's a real achievement. Well done.

So how far have you ran, cycled or swam today?

Well it wasn't me and it wasn't today but it was impressive, a school friend of mine has just attempted to swim the channel. She did 8 hours and reached the second shipping lane, about 13 miles. Please check out her page - look at the tweets for photos.

Be careful how you work, make sure you never need to use the charity she was raising money for - prosthetic limbs.

hi Gareth i'm in tenby just now registered and ready to go ru doing it

I missed your post. I was in Tenby with zero connectivity. My big lad finished the ironman and my wee 7 year old twins finished the ironkids. We,re all very proud - it's a killer venue for an ironman.

Did the coast2coast with a few mates over 3 days at the weekend. Had a brilliant time and were very lucky with the conditions- dry, warm enough and a 30mph tailwind on our last day.

The middle day we had was mega, basically getting over the Pennines and was about 5200ft of ascent. Enough hills in a day for me, but a real buzz when it's over.

The tour was much harder than I had imagined, and I'm impressed at the number of people taking it on.

Respect to those who do this trip in 2 days :adore::adore:
