Hi we are looking for experienced climbers working to AA ArbAC standards with CS30,31,38,39 and 41 as minimum. Needed for about 2/3 weeks full or part time but can be flexible to suit. Possibility of Long term opportunity for the right person. Reply by PM please.

How far have you ran/cycled/swam today?

So how far have you ran, cycled or swam today? Well it wasn't me and it wasn't today but it was impressive, a school friend of mine has just attempted to swim the channel. She did 8 hours and reached the second shipping lane, about 13 miles. Please check out her page - look at the tweets for photos. <p>Sorry just picked up reply - went with another trainer in the end - Pro-climber in Wales. Try TK Forestry in Holmfirth, best to put your name down for a few trainers and they will contact you when they have enough numbers to run the course.</p>

Experienced climbers required in Peak District/Sheffield - full week/minimum 2 days preferred. Nice mix of private and Local Authority work. Experience of working to AA standards preferred. Offering work for mimimum 3 weeks. Potential for long term arrangement. Must have CS30,31,38,39 and CS40,41 and chipper preferred. Please reply to this post with details.

Well here's a thought. You did a few certificates a long time ago, and some theory too, then learned and learned well on the job, but then one of your best customers changes the goal posts, and invites you to become an Arb Approved Contractor, and suddenly you need refreshers, more courses, and your self employed subbies, might not make the grade - Will they want to pay for their own training too? You will have to employ someone or sometwo properly, and they will need their certificates and they will need to be good, or prepared to get good. All good stuff, but it has all come at once. My advise is do the courses, and start now. Think long term, what will you be doing when you are 50? Anyone interested in refreshing all their certificates, as our local trainer (Derbyshire/ Yorkshire area) charges the same for a course for one or a course for 4.
