I think the layout looks very nice considering its a diy site, mine is too, i am constantly tweaking little bits every few days

front page isn't highways one word ?

our services: "We are can carry out" needs sorting and I would add "or" a crown thin

hedges: no matter of size. change the "of" to "what"

Recent works I would remove the "way" from way outgrown.

I would also remove the "discover how to" from the contact me bit

also have you not got a landline number to use ?

That is what I would change if it was my site, apart from that the site is clean and the logo looks good

Unfortunately i do not have a landline, something i wouldlike to have and might possibly get in the future- we do not have a line to our house so would need to be hooked up.

The more traffic you get through your website from different IP address's helps you get up on Google.

Very nice site, you need to get any firm that is ranked higher than you to link with you.

For example, amazon, BBC, ITV, etc

If they link you but you don't link to them you will get more tokens in the rating.

I think that's how it works.

Arbtalk is bigger than me and an asset to my ranking.

are you searching in incognito mode?

It's best to google your site through a browser different to the one you use google to hunt for and then click through to your site, they use your history to show what it thinks you might want and the results can be significantly different.
