Great blog Dave, my girl is in year 6 and also eats off 'Prison trays' At school. If her supposedly Jamie Oliver menu meals are like that it's no surprise she's all over the cooking at our house when she's with us!

Also, massive congratulations to your daughter on some excellent work there!

i am a resident at college and they don't look much different to some of the meals we get although our portions wouldn't fit on that tray, i find it fine some of the more fussy eaters complain but i think its great that we get three cooked meals a day without fail, the lunchtime meals are alot better than eavning meals and the breakfast baccon leaves a little to be desirred but it dosn't taste bad and keeps us going

Looks just like the meals served here in the States, is the appearance of the meal the bone of contention or have there been a high number of food poisoning cases unreported?

Seems like the age old complaints it looks bad or it taste bad or I should get more for what I paid for?. Would the students or the parents pay more for better meals?, I kinda of doubt it. Solution, pack your own meals and that way the cook won't get the blame.

My Two cents.
