ms200t (got two for sale if interested) and something like a 441 with a 16 and 24" bar.

Not the end of the world if you dont but a big help if you do .

Bill in writing or by email when the job is done be it 1 day or a week some may pay you at the end of the day but always send a invoice.

Use you're saw fuel in your saws there fuel in there saws and there chainoil in all..

Can i ask what sort of day rate you'd do this for though?

5 ltr fuel mixed is about 9.00 what about a 24" chain... 30 ish quid if you wreck it..... wear on saw etc.....

you've got to charge 150 a day to make it worth the above?

also if your providing your own saws does that mean only you use them?

the last thing you want is someone stuffing a brand new chain into a nail/concrete! or worse

Yes between 140-160 seems to be the average for a good subby with saws round here.

i've been offered a tenner in the past for the use of my361 for the day...

really hard to get good rates here at the moment, lots of people climbing for not much money.

Yes about 14 15 a hour so 140ish a day to make it pay depends on distance to travel like if I were to come as far as you swinny I woud burn 40 quids worth of derv getting to you and back so would be better of doing some felling locally for a lower rate but more profit, its a fine line to walk.

Who you work for over thear, nice area.

Anyone thought of putting something in writing, that if their saw blows up during work and its found to be fuel then the company has to have it repaired or replaced?

or you could fill your can with fuel and oil and charge per litre used of each....

Just some smaller firms :001_smile: you can't get in for the bigger firms, as some don't like new people lol + they want to give low rates.

I get up your way a bit doing work at quarries for a firm, spraying etc and fencing

I'm a free-lance groundie and only people I really trust get to use my saws or other kit. If they get damaged, I can't work without them so the employed workers can use the contractors own gear, not mine.I also use only my own fuel unless the client uses Aspen. :001_smile:
