How much is a timber wolf new? then compare it to that machine.

And i am surprised you got 15" cord wood through that, also if the button is to far around for you to reach your standing in the wrong position! never feed large bits from the front of that machine it can ruin your day!

And to be honest I like the fact the leg switches are so active as this could save your life.

If look look around second hand versions of these machines are very good value, it seems the bigger the machine the more you get for your pound.

If i ran a mog i'd give strong consideration to running a road tow like this over a pto.

I take your point but for my work its a bit overkill to be honest, I think a 9 or 10" would suit me better. As for standing in the wrong position, you can only lift huge pieces of timber in one way. Too sensitive with branchwood for my liking.

Vermeer have a 2009 model with 1100 hours on it in immaculate condition and its up for £15,500 + VAT So you are rite in what you say about good value, this chipper is just not rite for my needs. :thumbup1:

Thats a beautiful chipper Steve, last for years.

Hi Global,

not certain where that leaves you guys!!!!

This machine is 13 years young, judging by its performance & build, you and I will be pensioners before i will need a replacement.

I've owned it for the best part of a year. it doesn't matter if its a domestic job or site clearance it is brilliant.

If I carry on, will you increase my credit level & send me a coffee mug!

Steve
