Look at it from the other side, there's able people about with a trailer and a saw, a fair few of them I bet.

If it was within my ten-minute radius I'd go and do it for the wood.

And before you go all "look how you're destroying our industry" on me, consider this: If I have no jobs on, and have the time and equipment anyway, surely it would be bad business sense not to? The bills will still need paying, whether I go and sort them or watch tv so I loose nothing, the wood will easily cover the cost of the fuel, and they can keep the brash, probably sell it to another lucky buyer for pea-sticks or whatever.

sure, but would you go as far to put a bid on it?

"Hi Colin,

I saw your listing on ebay and it got me thinking. Whilst taking my first dump of the day this morning, much to my annoyance, it got lodged in the u bend.It was a beauty and i will be gutted to see it go but we had to part company(i would say it weighed in excess of 3lbs).

Anyway, i am looking for someone to pay me to come and unblock it and i thought you may be interested?? Ideally its a job for someone with previous experience at unblocking turds.

Ps im a Guinness drinker if you want to throw me a few tins in too.

Thanks. :thumbup1:

The reason you may have "no work on" could be because others are going jobs "for the wood", its madness.

This guy needs to be very careful, if some one injures themselves dealing with this tree, he could possibly find himself liable.

Chances are if anyone goes for it they will be someone with little experience of managing a tree of that size, they'll turn up with their blunt mcculloch and a 4x2 trailer on the back of their saloon car and by dinner time they'll wish they had'nt bothered.
