Just found a job on ebay

The reason you may have "no work on" could be because others are going jobs "for the wood", its madness.

This guy needs to be very careful, if some one injures themselves dealing with this tree, he could possibly find himself liable.

I think your right, but didnt want to get all "liability" with him. Imagine the kind of person who might be tempted to do this getting stuck under it when it rolls over onto him!

I would think that ther eis plenty of fallen trees around at the moment for the oportunist types to just go and help themselves anyway.

If you really could just take the wood then maybe, but I dont think that is what they are after, and I doi think it would be damaging to the industry.

Yes, it completely undermines the business and sets a precident whereby folks think tree surgery is a charitable entity. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

"Hi Colin,

I saw your listing on ebay and it got me thinking. Whilst taking my first dump of the day this morning, much to my annoyance, it got lodged in the u bend.It was a beauty and i will be gutted to see it go but we had to part company(i would say it weighed in excess of 3lbs).

Anyway, i am looking for someone to pay me to come and unblock it and i thought you may be interested?? Ideally its a job for someone with previous experience at unblocking turds.

Ps im a Guinness drinker if you want to throw me a few tins in too.

Thanks. :thumbup1:

It was a hypothetical statement mr Huck, I'm really busy as it stands, don't have time to do any paid work whatsoever!

I was just thinking about the countless guys that come on here offering their help for free to gain experience (how many people in a similar, qualified, able but not employed situation are there?) the scores of laid-off builders, landscapers etc.

Very true, we were doing emergency call outs yesterday, got to the last road and the 3 trees had all gone, they were nice sized "cut up and chuck in the trailer ones"
