That 560 looks awesome!

 

One question... why do you only cut small slivers that aren't much good for anything? Might as well cut log lengths and at least they can be used/sold? :001_smile:

 

 

I would imagine its so they don't have to lift another log onto the horse, it was a day off work after all :biggrin:

The whole idea was to get a raft of saws and compare their cut speed in the shortest possible time, it was an interesting exercise and has created a few questions in my mind that I will be working on for the next time - Oh yes, I think Sawfest 2 may be happening in the near future:thumbup:

Gave the new 346 a good run out today. Liking it a lot. The 560 really impressed me on Sunday. I may be a convert to the dark side.

iv always bin a stihl man dont think u will ever change my mind about the older saws like 076 051 i love that 046 to but i must say the 560 is mind blowing

i was inpressed with the ported 357 once it got warm

this could become a trend, sunday morning out with the saws,need to get one sorted down hear i reckon, ill bring the huskies and jonsereds

But how much of it is down to the chain type, sharpening and depth guages, sprocket size

 

 

I reckon i could affect the cutting speed by a lot dependant on wood choice vs chain setup after a few runs
