Recently i have been Upgrading my climbing kit since my Blue Book days..thrown out the Hi flex and Haix and changed to Stretch Air and Airstreams...needed a suitable tree to test my new boots...A nice size oak with a pleasant view including Wembly. In a nutshell,the Airstreams are in a different league! Tree climbing slippers! its like having 4x4 for ya feet and with the memory foam inside they are so comfy.this is the last tree i,m climbing using a prussik,it,s Spiderjack all the way from now on.

I love mine to bits, but they can get a bit schwetty tho.

Nice boot but I wore the soles out in 9 months below the balls of my feet. Abrasion from dragging I think

My Airstreams are for Tree work only...If i,m ever dragging brash for a long period of time(no chainsaw work)i got some steel toe capped trainer type boots...perfect for them sunny months..

I have had 2 pairs so far and will be getting another. My first pair lasted about 22 months. My second pair were purchased 2 years ago at Capel's celebration of trees.

 

For some reason, I wore the right sole out long before the left. The second pair wore out the other way. So I now have an absolutely knackered pair and a pair with reasonable soles.
