Rec, climb north east

Hi I'm going to try and arrange a possible rec climb, in Preston park in Stockton on tees iv been in touch with the local tree officer and park manager, who are quite happy asking as its carried out with a few measures which they'v asked me to work to which is fair enough and nothing that I wouldn't expect, it's a 100acre parkland site with mainly mixed broadleaf species, surrounding the park itself, open to all so it would be great to get a good mix of people so every one could get something from it,

Its ok dont worry about it someone will come round and personally hand you over the times .

I grew up there and have had many a good time in Preston Park.

 

From being chased by showmen at one of the fares. After he turned his back, we managed the impossible... to get the rubber ring around the skittle with a 20 pound note on it. He wasn't amused.

 

Also spent many a summer evening in motors over the back fields. Also used to go running around the grounds. Now I tend to take the kids there whenever I am back up North.

 

Did the climb ever go ahead?

If there's one being organized in the near future I'd be up for it. Just down the road in Middlesbrough.

theres a few arb's up here Rich , though most climb when they're getting paid for it
