Oak's a tad bit big to start off as a pollard aint it :biggrin:

 

 

Looks like a fine weekend Mark.

They were both pretty knackered after some 'agricultural' work over the years, and had both recently lost large limbs causing damage. Cavitytastic!

 

The one I'm sat on should sprout again, but the other one was pretty rotten.

Whatever, they will both be kept low from now on.

 

Interesting seeing other approaches to treework all over the place, massive balls of mistletoe in pops everywhere, and the huge amount of firewood the French use. Domestic cord stacks would put some productive yards to shame over here!

 

I'll head over again for a holiday at some point, the house has 4 rooms.
