Presently I use petrol/oil mix for my 2-stroke machines and if I plan not to use the machines for a while, I empty them of petrol, half fill the tanks with Aspen and run them for a while on Aspen. Question is, if I want to change to Aspen full time, my MS661C-M will probably need to have it's tuning tweaked. Being m-tronic, is there any way of retuning it other than taking it into the dealers? (And also other than buying expensive computer equipment to retune it)

Hi, I have not heard of anyone needing to use a computer to reset any saws to run on Aspen fuel. You may need to check your hand book to see how long to idle for and how long you work it for it to reset or retune.

Hi, Just got this from a Stihl dealer.

 

Hi Eddie

 

It should auto tune but a guarunteed reset with any M Tronic is to start the machine and perform

5 uniform cuts at full revs on a reasonable sized piece of timber.

Another reason to use Aspen came to my attention yesterday.

 

A customer was talking about his inability to use his machines as the smell of the solvents in petrol triggered severe Asthma attacks.

 

He was delighted to learn about Aspen and its absence of aromatic hydrocarbons (solvents) as it may mean he can do his own gardening again.

I do not understand why the poor uptake

Have got 5 people to sign

 

I want to use it in my mowers this year but not sure if I can justify it. But the saws run great on it.
