I know a deaf arb, hes really good.

 

One funny story he told me was that he finished a job on a friday and locked up his stuff at his yard.

Monday morning his big old 9 inch chipper wouldnt start, took a while to find it was out of fuel.

 

Yep he didnt turn it off on friday!

I can remember a tree worker with one leg . I saw this one legged man with a landy 110 HCPU in a landrover mag a few years back . I kid you not . I'm sure some of the other landy men will recall this article . You could google for pics :001_smile:

Im near enough totally deaf im one ear. still finding my balance on the branches lol

 

Does deafness affect balance????

 

I know the balance organs are in the inner ear, do not know if the two are linked???

all depend on what type of deafness it is, whether it was caused through an accident thet damaged the inner ear or if it was noise related or naturally occouring

I have epilepsy which is regarded as a disability but imo a disability is only that if it stops you carrying out a 'normal' life. My epilepsy does not stop me doing things as such, i just have to watch that i don't get too dehydrated or not have enough sleep.

I'll work my way up: dodgy ankle from rugby days, degenerative athritic hip, excessive wind, dodgy neck (rugby again), excessive wind, detached retina - twice in the same eye, cateract surgery, colour blind, dyslexia, minor porn addiction.
