Just seeing if anyone on here has any form of disability and does it affect your your work/how you work????

i use the word disabled loosly and i dont mean to offend anyone by asking.

i myself am completley blind on the left side, makes work a little awkward sometimes getting hit by things and the like but in a way i suppose it makes me that little more aware of my surroundings...

I have VERY minor spinabifida, which manifests itself as my 5th vertebra from the bottom is forward of where it should be, so from the side on the MRI scan you can measure an 89 degree bend in my spine, resulting in two disintegrated discs. It means I cannot carry anything on my shoulders, or run for more than about 50 yards, and after about 4 0r 5 days climbing I have to have a couple of days off work.

It sounds alot worse than it is, I am sure.:)

I'm married if that counts...?

When I enroled at college I hastily filled out the form because I wanted to go to the pub and then proceeded to be a terrible student throughout the year.

After 2 & half terms one of the lecturers took me to one side and asked how it was all going, or if there was anything I needed, how I was coping with everything...

Busted... 'Er, fine thanks.... why..?'

Well, you know, your... disability...

Um... I'm.. not... er...

Oh, just on your enrolement form you ticked the disability box...

Er... did I...? Sorry, that was a mistake...

In that case... buck your ideas up...!
