Doing a cut back and slight reduction while removing all dead from a sycamore today, usual story to tpo all over it, had the written letter allowing the work in the van ready for trouble.

Just wondering what everyone else tells joe public when they come up asking if we know there is and order on the tree and have we got permission to do the work etc.

Must have had every dog walker and there family say it and ask, got bored of telling them yes so I just started saying things like what a tpo and what do mean conservation I know nothing about that rubbish, just cut them down mate.

This didn't work well as we had a council van come speeding up to us and start jumping up and down asking for the letter etc.

I just started rolling around laughing. He did not join in with me though.

It's a bit of a rant after getting soaked this afternoon. But what does everyone else say or am I the only sarcastic tree surgeon/groundie out there?

So you wound up joe public who was simply looking out for the environment and the place they live, who were then clearly concerned enough to call the council.

That’s not sarcasm, it’s misinforming and wasting peoples time.

Not very professional, did you tell the man you laughed at your name? Perhaps it will be remembered when the LA are tendering work out.
