charlieh and mesterh - you can't be a 'yee ha' unless you fill at least a couple of the criteria. Having dry wood and no complaints i'm afraid means you are way under qualified.

lOOKS LIKE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN SPLITTING WOOD NOT SHOOTING ON TUE.

prob run out just after xmas.

then just tell them its only fresh and drop the price, after all it can only get drier and wont go off if stored right.

We're in Kent and it's some and some here. People regulalry supplying pubs and restaurants are keeping it back to keep the custom in future years but we are noticing that the domestic stuff is deteriorating. A neighbour had a metre bag load delivered last week and I've never seen such rubbish - old chestnut fence posts complete with staples and wet and rotten birch. Roll on the next Great Storm :)

Guess I'm going to have to get toed into my stockpile and start getting it ready for sale.

 

I recon a couple of trailer loads of that oak would look real good next to my log heap Dean:sneaky2:

I'm saving the Oak for the top dollar prices in jan, should get £200 a load for split oak when everyone else has run out :001_cool:
