Any asset that you paid VAT on and still own when you go VAT registered you can claim the VAT back, not sure how many years you can go back.

 

When I went VAT registered we went back 13 months and got VAT back on my van, I think what ever your claiming back on has to be still in USE or being USED by the business, simply being owned isnt enough I think

When I say owned I of cause mean "by the business".
