Asylum seekers get a bad press; here's a good quote from a signatory:

 

While I wholeheartedly agree with deporting radicals and economic migrants, I disagree with throwing good people to bad regimes.... Mugabe is a murderer and it is about time someone made a stand against him. I don't see him as any less of a legitimate target than Hussein was... Mugabe needs to be deposed to allow Bimha and his family, and their fellow Zimbabweans, to return to their homes and live in peace. Until then, he should be allowed to stay.

 

Please please please, I went to see him today, shaking with fear, tears in his eyes. Just think, he might be tortured and executed within months...
