First Attempts

After a while... of checking out this site ... I finally plucked up the courage to post my attempts ... up for scrutiny... only to find I have to follow the legend that is simon o'rourke ... with pictures of the most impressive chainsaw carving in the uk ...if not the whole widey world !!! Oh well , someone has to bring the standard down.

Please, please don't take this the wrong way, but unless you know these carvings have been produced by some one using a chainsaw, then they are not that impressive compared to traditional carving techniques. Do people buy them or commission them because of the skill involved by using a chainsaw or do they buy/commission them just because they are carvings?

Your carvings are great - you are dead right to be proud of them! Don't worry about following Si, he was useless when he started out (we all had to humour him...)!
