Watched a Coal Tit showering this arvo in our red-leaved plum: it would perch under the end of a branch, then reach up and bash it to knock off the raindrops.  Having used those drops it would then move on to a different branch and repeat.

Something I've never seen before.

Love the Wimbrel . Had one here in West Sussex dibbing about in the cow muck . Moved on after a day or so .

They tend to drop in for a feed and then bugger off,  just checked some pics from last year and I shot them on 12th of May so they're on schedule.
