Meopham/Culverstone in Kent

I've heard/seen them for probably about 5 years 3 miles down the road but not had them hear yet and in the last week we have had flocks of them

 

As pretty as they are I do wonder what kind of affect they are going to have on our natives in the next 10/20 years they seem very prolific

and they are munching on the hornbeam in the garden. I guess they will eat a variety of nuts and seeds

They'll eat bloody anything and destroy anything they can to get at it! I count my blessings that until two winters ago they'd never stopped in the garden here but now they're regular visitors, though few in number. They roost in hundreds if not more a couple of miles down the road on some marshes.
