Outrageous amount of money

It works the other way too.

 

On friday I arrived at the job to find it had already been done.Despite the Elderly client accepting the job,one of his sons decided my quote was too high and got someone else in.

 

He is getting a Bill for wasting my time.

 

How much you going to charge and do you think he'll pay

I'm sure the elderly client's son is only thinking of his inheritance. We get it a lot around here. Price work fairly, and for people who we've worked for for years who we have a really good working relationship with. Customer gets a bit older, nephews come out of the woodwork and talk them out of having any more garden work done. What these rellies don't consider is that for a massive number of these older clients, the view out of the window to the garden is all they have left to enjoy.

Its easy to confuse customer loyalty with convenience, They know you, you didn't break anything last time, and they still have your number somewhere..... There aren't many who I would class as truly loyal. I do loads of work for people who have obviously had work recently done by others, they just look on line or in yp and get whoever answers his phone first.
