I have a 55 plate iveco 35c14 agile which is basically the automatic gear box with tiptronic gear selection. Good van in general can pull some impressive weights. It recently broke down and after spending £1500 on replacing the clutch they have found that the ecu terminals and the relevant wiring loom connections are so badly corroded that we need to replace both making for a significant bill (1155+vat for ecu alone). No holiday for me. So after advice from a 10year iveco mechanic be cautious with the wiring. Cheers

I like the old transits. I've been driving them for my council for 5 years and they've been ok. Ievco are ok, but watch for bits falling off them, inside and out, also, they more or less use ford engines, iveco are just a bit more peppy. Them sprinters are good to drive but the chassis can rot quick, though. Bloke who does my ranger had a sprinter van in and it needed a lot of welding. I don't know anything about these new VW tippers, but I saw one the other day. VW are a good make and worth looking at, just thought I'd mention them :) .
