Both bro.

I did my old tachyon last week, This where what i spliced this week, I had to let the blisters heal. Was insanely hard!

This new tachyon was a breeze, I was shocked. Cut out the purple core though! Im guessing most people do?

I cut out the purple core, I spliced two old Tachyon ropes last week and found it OK, mind you, I always put gloves on for old rope.

Jesus, just looked at my past posts! I apologise for the shocking typo's!

I think I'm going to stagger them like Drew mentioned next time, although I doubt they would bunch up, has this occurred Drew or is it purely precautionary?

A mates offered to bring me back some samson tubular fids back from the states, worth the £20 for the set? I'm thinking yes, for hollow braids if nothing else. Anyone used them?

Pulled all the centre core out in drubs and drabs.....clown me think..:laugh1::blushing:

What are you using to get it out?

Try using a thin knitting needle, pry open the cover as neatly as you can. I try to get right under the core between cover and core.

If you where watching the ne video, he says to bend the rope, it easier not to when extracting the core of smaller diameter rope.

I find it makes the strands much tighter, but is a good tip on your larger ropes.
