So..........a year on, and I took the team back over to BB this week for some delicate dismantling of encroaching trees, above old Beech Pollards & a 12th century Moat & Homestead which is a listed monument.

Pretty much everything rigged down

 

Slow work, but the weather was kind.

 

Love this place :001_smile:

 

Red data list fungi, inverts & Red Kites & Buzzards, everywhere you look.

proberly this week is best job had to work on queens estate at sandringham at princess diannas old house. some really old amazing cedars and oaks. they had tree report done 16 trees needed work on them and they couldnt stretch the budget that far apparently so they only had 3/4 trees done instead.

It certainly is. :thumbup1:

 

Although a sister site to my own domain, BB is far superior in terms of trees & ecology.

 

So to get this opportunity to take the team over is indeed a privilege.

 

Burnham do not have their own climbers, so the work is contracted out, but that is governed by the local budgets constraints.

So us going over is an addition to the contractors work.

 

Win, win.

 

They get more work done around their Veteran Beech Pollards, we get the educational experience. :001_cool:
