Tree Inspection reports

Hi

 

I recently passed my PTI 3 day course and it never really went into report writing and i dont have much experience with writing them myself as all our inspections are done on a pre-forma sheet supplied by my employer.

 

Would anyone mind sending me some tree inspection reports by any chance? I just want to get an idea of layouts, details, wording etc. Inbox me and i can send you my Email addy to send it to that if thats ok?

If you have the time & the inclination, I would suggest getting on one of the TreeLife report writing workshops.

 

It's a very well put together day & provides both field experience & how to compile data in to a professional report.

if you do a search on tree reports on google it is if your smart about the searching a way of finding lots of reports written by consultants, thats how I got a grasp of it.

 

like david says treelife do offer a course, one I myself will do sometime this year along with my PTI in march.

 

the PTI is more an assement of your ability rather than an educational type scenario, not designed to teach you how to suck eggs, hence it is PRO tree inspection rather than the more basic 1 day.

As David says, the one day Treelife report writing course is good.

 

I don't think reading BS5837:2005 will help much if you haven't written a report before. The standard is just guidance on assessing the implications of trees with regard to development. I am guessing you want more of a template for how to set out a report? The Treelife course includes a helpful template which you can adapt for your own use.
