What makes me laugh is companies who have travelled along way to a show and most of the staff are all wearing chainsaw trousers in the middle of summer etc...muppets.

In reply to Andy...yes a needle and thread is the simple answer in many cases.

I went to one of the shows last year with college and was told, in all seriousness by my tutor, that if I wanted to 'look the part' and 'be taken seriously' I should were my chainsaw trousers and boots! :confused1:

I'm not about to try and impress anyone

And then the tutor's wonder why we hold them is such low esteem

I remember doing a job a few years ago before I went self employed, the clomber had a hole in the crotch of his trousers we were working at a dental practise, all the dental nurses were standing with us watching him work; all the while one of his nuts was hanging out. We did'nt tell him till later.

Whilst were on the subject of sewing up chainsaw trousers.

Just thought it worth pointing out, for the newbies.

Don't sew the outer material to the inner kevlar stuff or they won't work in the event of an accident. As contact with the saw should drag all the inner material towards the point of contact. Sewing the 2 together will potentially stop this from happening.

I remember a while back driving through Cirencester town centre and seeing a climber that i knew, going into the bank, still wearing his harness! He must have kept it on while driving away from the job and still had it on while going around town shopping/banking etc. Ha Ha!
