simple oak bench

Been asked to make and install a 'rustic' bench for a local council, just thought id share it with you lot...

VERY heavy!!! the legs are actually about 4 1/2 foot long and set in the ground to prevent any accidents as its in a public place...

the top is fixe to the legs with 2 1/2 inch angle iron bolted with 3 inch coach bolts, vey simple but it works well, i have done dozens this way with no problems...

i cant see the point in the single strand of barbed wire, the fencing contractors did it to the spec given from burnham beeches (a couple of miles down the road) apparently its for environmental reasons??? keeps stock in but lets wildlife roam, the field will have some of the english white cattle in from burnham beeches

they are mature cattle, theyre in an adjacent field at the moment. i just cant see the point in a single strand of wire.... cows are rather thick skinned anyway so a good lean or two and theyd be through it...
