Ive used a lot of impact wrench's in a past job as has all ready been said the air wrench needs a big supply of air the two stroke ones are very good but pricey and a bit of over kill for wheel nuts really a Makita three quarter drive would be right for the job you can pick a new one up for about 380 plus vat. Its all so worth getting a 240v rather than 110v as they are stronger. :001_smile:

I have used loads of different types of cordless 1/2" drive impact guns; dewalt 18v, snap on 24v, makita 18v..... By a long way, the best is an Hitachi 18v lithium WR18DL.

They are half the size of most of the other brands and are ideal for general vehicle maintenance.

They claim 220NM of peak torque which is massive for such a small gun.

Just looked online and you can pick them up for around £250 with x2 batteries. Bargain!
