Wind passed now, started snowing quite hard.

Next problem is other half's grandparents in Rhyl, they were evacuated from their home by boat this morning! Both well into their 80's and quite frail.

Windy all day, few trees and branches down, waiting for high tide on river humber tonight, met office have forecast potential flooding to places. And my fence panel has blown out and punched a 6 inch square hole in next doors upvc door.

Supposed to be doing some college work today but have now ended up looking at two emergency jobs. One small twisted willow which is heaving but with no targets can wait and the other is a rather large ivy covered tulip tree which in the time from me answering the call to getting there had gone from leaning to lying on a carpark. The trunk just missed a car and the rest of the tree just missing wiping out a building. Thats me sorted for tommorow. I least I didn't have to tell everyone they must evacuate the building as its retirement flats.

Horrible.

Cold and windy. And now it's raining.

Also had a warning over the tide tonight aswell. It's on a spring tide and there is a surge behind it.

The tide is suppose to be 7.6m but with a surge it will jump to 8.4m.

A surge is caused by high pressure meeting and pushing water up. It then adds a surge and the tide is higher.

With the winds aswell it will make for interesting boats. Last time this happened the lifeboat tore from its moorings and went for its own jolly around the marina along with a few others.

This lead to a fare bit of damage to other boats and pontoons. So the lifeboat has been moved today to another mooring where it will be safer.

But still waiting for a pager call saying it's gone for a joy ride again. Lol.
