We have had lots of rain, as expected in the North Pennines at this time of year, but no proper flooding and very little wind of late, so the lands not drying. Can't get more than 20ft into the wood with Landy as it's a bog hole. Had to pull it out with Kawasaki mule this aft. Packed up early removing squirrel damaged beech as sick of being muddied up to knees, makes everything lots more tiring and difficult. Now sat next to Rayburn with a cider, lots better.

 

Roll on some cold dry clear weather!

Just check our local amateur weather station, we've had 13.4 inches of rain so far this month, that's nearly 1/2 inch per day!

As you can see from the rest of the details we've had quite a nice day.

Did any one else experience the mini tornado that went through Essex at about 16:40 this Saturday?

 

Must have hit the estate. There was a willow top snapped when I got in on Monday. We had a brief spell of thunder and lightning in Maldon as well. :001_rolleyes:
