Art rope guide & double snapper

I had a play with mine today for the first time & found it hard to use to be honest because of the lack of friction when i wanted to tend my slack if the spiderjack hadnt done it for me. It seemed to vanish like taking 2 steps foward & one back. Any advice?

I got one for xmas only too wet yesterday to play, roll on the new year. i will need less friction cos i will be so fat lol.

Keep practicing.Watch spiderjackery 3,Joe's explains it,You have to pull the running end of the rope down and it will go through the cam,then you have no slack.Does that make sense?

Yeah ive watched it & i know how it works. Im using yale xtc at the minute & finding that at low heights its not self tending, im wondering if its the 13mm rope or the spiderjack being new?

May I reiterate the second part of the question? How does the 'Double Snapper' work, and what is the importance of it?

The ds works by clipping your throw line over the branch and not through the rg device. It's actually bloody complicated to explain via writing. It enables you to lower the rg after use using a single leg of throw line. Personally I think it's easier to just use the tail of your rope as a fall trap but the ds is an ingenious solution.
