We were scratching our heads with this as well, originally we thought they were a quarter of a cube so priced accordingley. Then we emptied wood from a cubic bag into them as there seemed to be alot of wood going into them off the processor and found we could only fill 3 barrow bags from a cube - we now charge £25 (based on it being a third of a cube)

This bag is only 0.20 cbm.

Treemon your 'cube' bag sounds like it is a builders bag of 0.60cbm. Not all of the white builders bags are the same and that confuses the hell of out most customers![/quote

No its deffinately a vented cube bag

48x48x87 barrow bags are 0.2 cubic metres.

3 of these will fill a standard builders bulk bag (80x80x80).

All my logs are delivered in barrow bags and sometimes get tipped out in to a bulk bag in customers garage. 3 barrow bags just "over-fills" a bulk bag.

We sell a BB of hardwood for £22 and softwood for £20 - minimum order 4 bags.

Smaller orders are £25/bag.

Have sold 270 bags since August

Soft £30, mixed £35, hard £40. Sounds like I am way overpriced, perhaps thats why I have not sold many.

£24.15 for a 48x48x87 barrow which cleary works out as a smidge over .2 a cubic meter. By the time I've filled one - lifted in to pick up - and worse still - dropping off the back at the customers the bag has stretched meaning logs to be added. I am sure that a box that held .25 of a cubic meter would fit into one of these .2 barrow bags after stretching. Ok put price up to take up the slack but what would weights and measures say if you claimed to sell .25 of a cubic meter out of a bag stamped with 48x48x87.

Is it not more of a case of the logs settling rather than the bag stretching?
