quad,bobcat or skid steer?

Cant decide what would be my best option on these machines. I dont have any experience with any of them

 

Got some work coming off soon and it involves long narrow drags over ruff/smooth grass to get stuff out and i cant get any of my equipment in.

Been looking at polaris quads 550cc with front winch and smallish general trailers, but i cant decide if this is the best option to what could be available. Would also like to get the best use out of the machine for other things. Possibly towing 150 timberwolf about on small woodland jobs or even on grass areas where tract machines rips the ground. Maybe even something that would clear snow or run other implements.

 

Any advice or suggestions welcome,

Alpine tractor.... Cheap pto implements compared with expensive hydraulic stuff on the loaders. Plus it will go places a loader won't.

I have a bobcat 751 and would not be without it but it does make a right mess in the mud. Not the best tool for clearing snow, heavy and if it gets a slide on side ways will do alot of damage.

personally would steer away from quads as they are highly prized by thieves and tend to be a bit limited with what you can do other than tow with it. Also don't expect a winch on a quad to last long on long hard pulls frequently. Personally i'd go down the boxer root or perhaps alpine tractor and these would be much more efficient on fuel use i should think especially if you go down diesel route!

I think it depends how much work you have for one. I got a Kawasaki klf 300 quad about 4 years ago. Only paid £550 for it. It pulls my timberwolf ok and is great for shifting wood on the right sites. It paid for itself in one week.

A wee kubota like this would pull more than a quad and can do so much more, stick a simple 3pl bucket/rake on the back and you can move rings etc, haul timber, tow a chipper, scrape snow, etc etc..... all for cheap££
