Did you know that Churchill was declared bancrupt in 1938.

 

Forget britain in the second world war, we were just a thorn in germany's side, does anyone here know where the real battles were taking place? the one the media doesn't really want to talk about.

 

How about the Hundreds of thousands of Collonial Soldiers that fought and died on lands far away.The Sons and Daughters that never knew the Father that left for a war he knew little about,except he knew right from wrong and was prepared to do something about it.

 

Thats the attitude we need more of today.

I'm not sure were your going.....please tell I look forward to it on return from the pub!!:thumbup1: maybe the far east?? Churchhills speaches were pretty fitting especially after the mighty Luftwaffe got smashed up bad in Oct 1940, IMO one of the defining momments that still makes me proud to be British!

I have always been proud to be british but i am also a european, as indeed is the sentiment in that speech, less we forget.

 

Mike we seldom hear from you, less you find something to antagonise with!

 

so what are we playing today? are we trying to bring out the best or the worst of the british? lol

Let's not forget that there were many countries taking part in that air action against Germany, including members of the Eagle Squadron from USA and famous from 633 Squadron.:thumbup1:
