I have those monkey metal spurs. I would question how the hell they would get broken.... ! At the time though they were all I could afford and I have to say, seem to do the job. Like I say, not pretty though....!

Unless I hear any horror stories it will be the Harkie ali spikes when I can scrape together some cash.

They simply snapped as he was in a tree, i have pics and there is rust already there at the place of failure! there crap metal simple as that, i would throw em in the bin asap. my lad slid and grazed both arms but could of been so much worse.

 

Simple rule, cheap normally eaquals rubbish.!

Presumably it was round one of the holes for adjusting the height? The build quality is VERY questionable I must admit. I'll keep a close eye on them until I can afford some nice ones...

 

No it was just above the gaff on the main shank! i have pics if you want to see.
