Best chainsaw safety trousers?

Best and not spending much is a bit of a contradiction

 

Do a search on best chainsaw pants you will soon see it's quite subjective.

 

My vote is stretch air, but they aren’t cheap

How about the stihl extreme ones? Only need front leg protection for what i do.

I've had a pair of stihl forestwear classics, blue ones, bib and brace. Have had them a few years but never been used that much and the fabric is coming away at the seams on the back:sneaky2:

Don't think they still make these exact trousers though?

 

There's also a set of the very basic stihl green bib and brace which seem to be lasting ok! (unsure of age)

 

 

There's a million threads on this subject in the general section. Think the oregon/SIP trousers are quite durable

What price do you value a leg at?

 

You can buy the cheap ones as long as your girl is good with a needle and does not mind mending them because the stitching will fall apart in short order, or you can spend more money and get a pair that will not actually fall apart the first time you wear them.

 

Stretch Airs get my vote - never touched with a needle yet (2 yrs old)

I agree the sthil ones are just for aborists climbing really they are no built like proper foretry trousers. I ve always used sip classic ones as they are a good price and last forever. Just bought another all round protection pair for 90 quid! bargain and they are semi waterproof when new. Why spend more on flash figure hugging ones................. i have had 3 pairs in over ten years.....
