Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

Looks good that, did you make the whole thing yourself or did you modify? Is it still midline attachable?

Also the previous talk about the bungy over the shoulder, like the sound of it. Yesterday got in the predicament of needing my lanyard when it was tending my RW. Was just getting my hands on a old inner tube for the purpose.

I'll try both and make my mind up.

The sideplates are the original RW, the rest is modified. As shown it has to be threaded, however it can be easily made mid line by replacing the front link with a 5/16" bolt through the bottom sheave and the 5/16" quick release pin through the top sheave.

Yeah. The tape sling is just the right size for me. No slack in it and sits snug so I haven't caught it in the tree yet. I could imagine if the sling is a bit loose it may be a bit disconcerting having a bina flapping about. Don't fancy loosing a couple of teeth.

Just put a twist in the sling and put it on like a rucksack. Clip a bina on the two from loops holding them together. Simple and already had slings in kit.
