Rope Wrench feedback

Recommended Posts

Hey guys.interested in what you guys think of the new rw. Thinking of getting the new one(primarily because it's red) but want to know if it's that much better?at the end of the day it serves no other purpose but not much more could have been changed I suppose.slightly annoyed no clip for LOTS was added tho, thought that was on everyone's mind for improvement

Stay safe

It seems a desperate shame LOTS attachment has not been included but a D shackle in the top of the tether would do the job, cheaply.

I have a small confession to make. I used Ddrt the other day! It was the first time in a couple of years and it was weird! I clipped into the cranes main hook and over and onto the Lombardy Poplars. I then tied into the tree and the crane op lifted the main hook until the chain hook was at a convenient height to tie it onto the tree. It meant paying out slack whilst the hook was lifted. I then dropped down to a position to make the cut. Untied from main hook and tied in. Ddrt does have a use!

So I have been using a petzl 6" tether from a quick draw, fount it really good and the wrench falls into place without me even looking, was going to try a 4" just to see how it goes in terms of length, anyone else use these and what length have you tried....

Oh and another thing the eye in the tether is quite wide and it's hard to get the wrench to close when in place. Would this be an issue in regards to cross loading the side plates of the wrench?

Thanks for any replys...
