how does the stiff tether work if the carabiner is there? surely it becomes a pivot point???

It isn't in this picture but I've put a tight rubber band to hold the krab in tight on the eye and a rubber on the krab so it can't move round works really well and allows me to switch between SRT and DDRT

Nice one Marcus...

Iv'e done the same, with bands, it still tends about 1inch from the hitch, but yes would be better with no flop...

Cheers dude your looks sick

I did make a long tether like the one rich was using on the demo stand in honeys, which worked nicely but made it really difficult to switch back to ddrt

Yep, if you only climbing srt its the way forward!

In fact i got a red pinto thats not being used...... Lets see what i can come up with!

I'll see what i can do when im back form Ireland in a week. Just finding trees is one thing, ones that are awesome for SRT is another. (because climbing a normal reccy tree is too easy:001_huh:)

Cool let me know :thumbup1:

I have finally gone to the dark side and ordered one of the new wrench's and a stiff tether. Have been tempted by this style of climbing for quite while. Now to see how I get on with it :-)

right ive got my rope wrench just trying to get a suitable tether going but im not sure whats best

a lose teather of a small diamiter friction cord.

or a stiff teather whats best is it personal precerence

would a stiff teather of the correst length pretty much set the RW for you

unlike a losse teather which would manually need setting ??

am i sort of right just to check ?? :confused1:
