On the rec climb at the weekend we tested the lj on srt, without the wrench. It'll hold,but movement is nigh on impossible. Ian has a picture of the lj with his weight on it. Haven't tried drop tests but have heard good results for the rw/lj

I found if you descend a little bit like you have to with the HC/RW setup the LJ/RW LJ re aligns and doesn't have any side loading. So basically go a bit higher and drop down a bit. This week i switched onto the HC/RW setup to give it a fair bash, good but not as good as the LJ/RW setup.

Ian. I don't have a lj so use a hitch. I got mine running very smoothly. Very pleased with it

Hi Mat, Yeah i've decided to give a hitch a bash this week, works nicely but i have been using armour pruss on 10mm static line so i think i need to try a different cord. Also i had to DRt this afternoon to around 70ft = Me knackered, only yesterday i had to do the same on SRt and well, it was quick, easy and my arms didn't hurt one bit.

I used my wrench today to deadwood a small/medium pine. Im still fairly fresh on it, but it worked out nice, rapid ascent with the pantin, just don't forget to over the shoulder business to advance the rig. I think my next purchase will be a hand ascender, to which I will tether the RW for easier advancement. Hooray to Kevin.
