I think it's Lincolnshire as well.

That's a relief - I was starting to think the pound might be worth more in Cornwall or something - but no, people work for crap money in Lincs aswell!

In reply to Roller, charging the rates that I do covers the purchase and running costs of my truck, chipper, saws, climbing gear, PL insurance, income tax, etc... and pays my mortgage and bills and leaves me a bit put away for a rainy day! What more could one want?!:proud:

what scale do you think is right for the following. round by me i recon:

poor groundie - £50

good groundie - £60/70

new climber - £75/80

average climber - £100/120

v good climber - £130/150 (more for really hard jobs say upto £200)

is this similar to elsewhere in uk?

This is a good example for rates of pay for the self employed but what do most people pay the guys that work for them on PAYE.

Could you share your rates as it would be great to see how much difference there is on the amount someone gets paid on PAYE

On PAYE, £60 for ground work, £80 for climbing.

thanks for the reply.:icon14:

And is that as standard no matter on the level of experience.

I only employ people who know what they're doing. In Cornwall wages aren't the best so could probably earn more in other parts of the country.

Remember, all you employees out there, you cost your boss a darn site more than what you take home each week/month.:cussing:
