For us Winter is a quieter time of year.

 

We have tried more intensive advertising during this period,however we were just chasing money that people did not want to spend.

 

I think its more rational to budget thoughout the Summer for your predicted quiet spell and perhaps look into alternative income streams such as Selling Firewood or Stealing Scrap for example.

how do you guys keep so busy when there are many many people doing it thats what im trying to work out

 

I keep busy by being good at what I do, I can give you numbers for lots of companies that are cheaper than me though. People buy people, you have to sell yourself to customers. I regularly get work where I wasn't the cheapest.

Network, make sure everyone knows what you do, when sending out invoices put in a handful of business cards.
