Felling a dead tpo'ed tree??

A TPO is "a charge on the land", so even if the tree is dead it still needs replacing.

 

 

I totally see where you are coming from Huck but i cant see that it would be a reasonable or fair request that you must replace a tree that has died due to naturall causes . down here i have not been asked to replace a dead tree the is tpo'd that i have taken down for these reasons . BUT THERE IS ALWAYS A FIRST I GUESS

How would he stand if he did not notify???

 

If they don’t spot it then happy days, if they do spot it then they the usual penalties for felling without a consent apply.

 

Of course under ideal circumstances you would give the LA a couple of days notice

same here,have removed several DDD trees recently on a 5 day notification,each one will have to be replaced.

Really? , i guess we must be a bit more fortunate down here , so are you expected to re-plant in the situation of removing a TPO'd tree that has been blown over in a storm ??

Yes, well I would notify them (even if it was after the event, of an emergence) and they have always demanded a replacement.

Looks like e are fairly lucky , dont get me wrong if we apply under a 5 day notice of standard applications we are expected to re-plant , if the tree is dead and i mean totally dead then the tree is exempt so i feel there is no need to ask to remove a tree that falls outside of the TPO or C/A , in the event of an emergency job then the L/A will b notiffied either at the time or photos are taken and sent with the post notification , should they require a replacement then i will allways do so but like i have previously said we are not asked to do so in circumstances that fall outside of the TPO or C/A

DDD, is Dead, Dying or Dangerous, so you still need to notify.

it may sound mad but after walking round an aplication co arry out works to almost 200 trees in a park the TO made it perfectly clear that DEAD trees are exempt as they are not potentially dangerous and neaither are they dying - they are dead and therefore exempt . im meerly doing as the TO says !!!! lol
