chipper went bang

had a hired tw150 today did about an hours chipping then there was a loud clatter and bang . heres what came out once the chute was removed,I ended up with the hire company doing a 3 hour trip to get a replacement from another depot.i ended up with a turbo 200 shredder

not from orange plant( Newmarket plant)

no other damage as far as i know i will have a look tomorrow then i take the shredder back i called them up just before they shut its all stripped down just a few bolts sheared where it all rattled around behind fly wheel

my 150 did exactly the same last week,bearings went and all the fins ended up in the chip box.Lucky noone was hurt

bearings have gone twice in ours over past 18months,been told by gunn JCB the flywheel is warped by some numpty (previous owner) belting 7 shades out of it which has left it inbalanced,hence repeated bearing disasters.

spent alot on her now including new flywheel,fins,bearings anvils,carriers,shaft etc etc.Hope it does the trick

called at the hire place today the bearings were ok they couldnt explain why it broke up luckily no cost to me :thumbup:
