Getting Motivated To Do Paper Work?

Might sound daft but how do you guys motivated yourselves to do book work in the evenings when you've had a bloody tough day?

 

I really struggle, and although i've got a good bookkeeper I still have odd bits that really need doing each evening. Rather just sit down with a beer, arbtalk and footy.

 

REALLY wish i could be more organised, anyone else struggled but now found a good system or routine?

I spend every Friday doing paper work, looking at jobs, machine maintenance and loler checks. I'm earning more in 4 days than I was in 5 as well.

most evenings i'm invoicing, or typing quotes up..

 

invoicing means theres a cheque on its way...= motivation

 

quoting means work on the way = cash on the way = motivation

 

what i struggle with is putting site packs together.

the one for the job we're finishing tomorrow took me two days to put together

Totally. The only paperwork I do is print off quotes and post them if for big jobs. Everyday domestics quote there and then on back of card. Email invoices or have ready. Bank and accountant do all the money crap. Done. Don't even do tpo apps anymore; simply can't be bothered; get the customer to do em!

I hope you have a good remote back-up system for you iphone:scared1: One of our biggest problems would be losing all our info from the system so we back-up between two machines, remotely and onto external drives

I built my business myself , I won't panick if I loose a couple of numbers for a day or 2 lol
