Nice one.....

I have been experimenting with carving over the years and after spending countless hours doing the most intricate and ornate designs, I found that it is far more fun to get a big pumpkin, carve an angry face with large chunky cuts, soak a toilet roll in petrol overnight so it absorbs it all through the roll, put the roll into the pumpkin, no cap on the pumpkin, and light it.

You get 3ft high flames producing a long wavy hair effect from your pumpkin!!!

Please note: this is not an indoors/dining room table effect!!!

A decent toilet roll (not a cheap small one) will burn for about 15 minutes as it acts like a candle. Very funny and quite spectacular!! I will have another 2 going on Saturday at our Club fireworks and halloween party.

The flesh of the pumpkin, plus the open top, means there is nothing solid to "encase" the fumes of the petrol. 1st time I tried it I expected a "whoosh" as the thing ignited, but it never does.

You will never use a tea light again I can promise you!!!

The only question that follows is how big a pumpkin can I find and how big a paper roll??? I have got industrial paper rolls that are over a foot thick and almost 18 inches high but I can't find a damn pumpkin big enough to try them out!!

Sounds great:thumbup: Maybe not for a kiddies party though.

Here's one I did last year for my toddlers, not too scary.

That's very good .

If only I could have that and the pyrotechnics and not the mini chav extortionists doing their trick or treating this year.

Hey that is a good one. Did you peel it to get that much glow through the skin? I wanted the scar on mine to just glow through but in the end carved directly through the pumpkin as the glow wasn't effective enough :confused1:
