Nope got it!

 

The genus is Podocarpus, still working on the sp.

You're using some sort of tree ident book-am I right?

a few, and my knowledge of tree parts help me search on the internet too:thumbup:

 

i tend to use scientific sites and interpret leaf and needle and flower form from technical names rather than pictures, then when i think i have a candidate i'll use google images to see if i'm right:biggrin:

 

tis hard going sometimes but it is much needed practice, especially when the rarer trees come up:thumbup:

I, quietly, got the genus too, but as to the spp??? I worked at Bedgebury for a bit and the curator there had a bit of a thing for podocarps. He had one or two in his collection...

The flowers! Its a Clerodendrum sp., not sure which one though so going to go with C. tricotomum cv.
