Stihl MS362?

i dont like it.. dnt no what stihl were thinking. 357xp or a 372xp /576xp

 

Got a purchasing policy that does not allow us to buy any more orange crap unless it's a 346xpg

We have just had a362 to replace a 560xp cant fault it been thinning with it done about 50t with it so its just starting to loosen up .

I have been using huskies the last few years, but picked up my dads 362 the other day after breaking my saws, and to be honest I am very impressed. Plenty of power, starts on the button, even after running out of fuel, runs very cleanly and picks up very well. The only thing I would say is it is a bit of a lump, but I normally run a 346 and 357 so to be expected really. Very solid build quality, and does take a while to run in, but worth a punt.

yup i sure have. my 346xp is fantastic.. i have a stihl ms361 at work tho and i cant fault it.. some of the other guys have ms362's and 261's and are constantly having problems with them... the ms261 more so. the 362 aint bad but i dont like it,, dont like the feel of it or the way it throws down its power which as we all no isnt like the ms361. im hoping that work decide to replace our aging 361's they will let me have a 357xp or a 560xp if its sorted buy then

The 357xp, although strong (if you get a good one) is a dated saw & a real pain to work on when they do go wrong. That's what we are replacing

When your firm replaces their 361s I would be very interested in one, even if requiring a new pot and piston.

The old man and I both run 362s good reliable saw its light and really cuts well with a 15 or 16 inch bar and 8 tooth sprocket
